The Hellands in Holland

Last Sunday we had our first house group in Rotterdam. It was great in that there were people not just from Rotterdam, but also from Zeewolde and Middelberg the latter which is in the south of the Netherlands in Zeeland. Our guest from Middelberg had a lot of pain in her knee and her leg. After praying for her all the pain left and she can bend it without any pain. What is also special about this is that she does not have a Christian background at all. Sometimes it seems like non-Christians get healed quicker and easier than Christians. I don't completely understand that or mean to be able to explain that, I just love to see people get healed through prayer.

We got to know Greg Kormany a few weeks ago when he drove us the 2 1/2 hours from Budapest to Debrecen, Hungary. The conversation was great that we had in the car. He asked us why healings did not take place in Hungary. We told him to watch and wait because there would be a lot of healings in Debrecen that weekend. There were!! During our weekend in Debrecen, Greg prayed for 3 or 4 people all of whom were healed. Last Sunday, he was telling friends of his in the sauna at his sport club what had all happened. They did not believe him and thought he had come into a weird sect or something. He offered to pray for their healing if they had pain anywhere. They were not only healed when he prayed for them, but God also gave him some accurate prophetic words about their lives. AWESOME!! This is our goal, not only to demonstrate God's power to heal and speak, but to light a passion and fire in other people's lives to go do the same. The weekend in Debrecen was a huge success. ...

Tuesday one of my friends told me, "my nose has been bleeding for days now and it won't stop." I told him to give me his hand and I told the bleeding to stop in Jesus name. Since then, it has not bled once. Later that day, another person at the office I work out of told me that he has back pain that he will have the rest of his life. I offered to treat his back and to his astonishment the pain left. Today (three days later) he says that the pain has not returned. Also, on Wednesday I went with Hans de Boer to downtown Amsterdam where we got to pray for people on the street. Everyone we prayed for experienced something (pain leaving, a warmth, etc) in their bodies when we prayed for them. Also, yesterday, while buying some new shoes, I saw that the sales lady had just sprained her ankle. I prayed and it was not healed immediately, but I am glad that I offered to pray. My attitude is simply to pray and believe and perhaps not everybody will be healed every time, but a lot...

(Robert de Boer Speaking in Hungary) Today at my work I felt warmth suddenly coming upon my shoulders. I had the impression that this was something God was doing but I did not give much attention to this. Later that day, my colleague told me that her sister had pain in her body. Because I knew her sister a little, I sent her at text message on my phone and asked her where she had pain. She answered that she has had pain in her shoulders and neck for a while and wanted to know if I could pray for her. I had already prayed earlier for her back pain from which she was healed. Because I did not want to wait to pray for her, I decided to send her a text message. I texted her, "When you read this you are going to feel something in your shoulders and you are healed in Jesus name."   I did not get a reply immediately, but then I got a message back that she felt warmth in her shoulder and that the pain was almost totally gone. As a follower of Jesus Christ, my sincere attitude towards my Muslim neighbors and friends is love, care and respect. I pray for true peace (paz, salam, shalom, vrede) in a world full of pride, arrogance and unfair caricatures which divide us (red vs. blue states, alochtone vs. autochtone, legal vs. illegal). Here I am with Darion and Sander, two crazy guys that God is using amazingly in Down town Amsterdam. A few weeks ago, I took Sander on the street to do some power evangelism. Three guys we met at a skate park were all instantly healed and really touched by the power of God. I don't make it often to downtown Amsterdam, but what I just found out what that since that experience, Sander has been going together with Darion every day into the streets and Red Light District of Amsterdam and seeing an average of 6 to 7 people healed a day. Amazing Stories!! At one McDonalds, the cashier gets healed and then the staff begin to line up for healings. As they get healed, people start asking Christ to come into their lives. Little revival taking place at McDonalds. Super proud of Sander and Darion and how God has used them in Amsterdam. Thank you Darion and Sander.
